Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Degree and Certificate Programs

Business Management Online Degree Completion Program option is specifically designed for students to utilize prior credits earned towards completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Students may transfer up to 90 credits towards the degree with opportunities to convert prior activities through the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) model.

The degree completion program is built around ten core business courses which are offered in 7-week modules twice every term. In consultation with their advisor, students decide how many courses to take each 7-week block and thus the speed at which they complete the degree. In addition to the core courses, students can select from a list of business electives, also available in 7-week blocks, to complete the remaining credits needed to reach 120 credits in total for the BS degree. All UMFK Bachelor of Science students must also fulfill the university general education requirements. Students will confer with their advisor upon entry to the program concerning meeting general education requirements prior to graduation through transfer credits or other mechanisms.

Please note, international students enrolled in distance education (online) programs are not eligible for F-1 student status at UMFK.

The Business Management (BS) degree will be awarded upon the successful completion of the program requirements including a minimum grade of C in all program required courses, and the fulfillment of the University of Maine at Fort Kent graduation requirements.
