PSY 330: Interviewing and Counseling

3 credits

This course covers theory and methods of psychological counseling, and for gathering information through interviews, as well as intervention techniques for persons in crisis. It also surveys theory on family and lifespan development, types of major disabling conditions, types of trauma, and how disabilities and trauma affect personality. This course is applicable to State of Maine MHRT/C certification. Offered Fall odd years.
