NOR 424: Contemporary Issues in the Arctic

3 credits

This course examines and analyzes contemporary issues in the Circumpolar world of the Arctic. Key themes include economic development, sovereignty, natural resources and the environment, security and governance, and territorial boundaries in the Arctic. Students will apply understanding of concepts through analysis of Arctic data in one of the issue fields and present research findings. 3 hours of lecture.
