NUR 612: Role of the Advanced Practice Nurse

3 credits

This course provides students the opportunity and forum to explore the roles of advanced practice nurses. Collaborative, interprofessional relationships are foundational to success advanced practice. The behaviors, attitudes, and skills to develop and maintain such relationships are emphasized. This influence of historical, political, economic, and legal elements influencing the development of advanced practice nursing roles is explored.

Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in the Graduate Master of Science in Nursing program or instructor’s permission.
