NUR 675: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Theory III

3 credits

This course focuses on the amalgamation of the theoretical and clinical foundations of advanced practice nursing in the management of acute and chronic illnesses. Students will formulate evidence-based, holistic plans of care for complex, multi-system acute and chronic conditions, ensuring integration of clinical practice guidelines. Students will identify the policy, ethical, and system-based factors inherent in patient care settings. Clinical experiences focus on the ability of the student to demonstrate end-of-program outcomes and competencies.

Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in the Graduate Master of Science in Nursing program or instructor’s permission.
