Criminal Justice AA - Program details


Program Highlights:

- Leadership Development in Criminal Justice: Recognizing that effective law enforcement requires strong leadership, the program emphasizes leadership principles essential for success in criminal justice careers. Students will develop decision-making, communication, and crisis management skills through specialized coursework in Police Procedures, and Principles of Investigation.

Graduates of this two-year program are prepared for careers in law enforcement, corrections, and security, with a strong academic foundation for further studies in criminal justice and law.

CRJ 100  Criminology - In-depth study of crime in society, while incorporating causes of crime, crime prevention, the role of law enforcement, and the administration of justice.

CRJ 200  Introduction to Firearms - Comprehensive hand-on course that will instill a safety-first mindset while developing a foundation of marksmanship with a pistol commonly used by law enforcement agencies.

CRJ 326  Introduction to Forensic Science - Overview of the field of forensics, presentation of evidence, crime scene investigation, fingerprinting, and blood stain analysis.
