NUR 456: Integrated Nursing Practice3 credits
This practicum course provides students with clinical practice experience opportunity to develop an integrative practice project by analyzing a clinical, community, or healthcare organization issue of interest that has relevance to professional nursing practice. This course assists the student in transitioning to baccalaureate-level proficiency. The focus of
the project is on healthcare quality improvement across practice settings that demonstrate the integration of their knowledge, skills, behaviors, and abilities acquired in the nursing program with application into nursing practice. Students demonstrate the achievement of all program outcomes through both online and practicum experiences culminating in the written presentation of an integrative practice project and the development of a comprehensive and professional portfolio, both of which faculty guide and evaluate. Offered Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Prerequisite(s): >2.5 GPA; Final semester or instructor permission Co-requisite(s): None.
