The RN to MSN Bridge Program is for Registered Nurses (RN) who hold an associate’s degree in nursing, from an accredited institution, and also hold a prior baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than nursing. These students are eligible to enroll in the RN to MSN Bridge Program to complete the Nursing (MS, Online only) in either the Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (A/GACNP) concentration or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) concentration. Students take seven undergraduate courses from the RN-to-BSN program then are admitted into the MSN program.
Students wishing to pursue the RN to MSN Bridge Program must meet RN to BSN eligibility requirements and meet the graduate requirements upon entering the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.
Please note, international students enrolled in distance education (online) programs are not eligible for F-1 student status at UMFK.
Students wishing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), may request a reverse transfer of credit from the MSN to the BSN up to 9 credits. If a student decides to step out of the MSN program, that student is eligible to resume the RN-to-BSN.
