The Tourism, Hospitality, and Outdoor Recreation (THOR) minor is an 18-credit collaborative program within the University of Maine System. The minor is designed to give students a broader understanding of the state of Maine as a whole in the contexts of tourism, hospitality and outdoor recreation, through hands-on learning, connections with workforce leaders, and comprehensive exploration of the cultural, historical, scientific and economic framework of this unique world-class travel destination.

Students select courses from across the U Maine system to fulfill the program requirements.

Refer to the THOR home page for program details and the THOR course listings for currently available courses from across the system.

Students select one course from of the first three tables, and three courses from the list of electives in table 4. Note, a course can only be counted once in the minor.
