Certificate of Advanced Study Program Description:

The post master’s certificate program at the University of Maine at Fort Kent is designed for those students who already hold an earned master of science in nursing (MSN) degree. Students may hold a non‐clinical MSN or already be a nurse practitioner (NP). Students who have earned an MSN in nursing education, nursing administration, or nursing informatics, for example, will follow one track while those students who are already practicing as NP’s, but wish to pursue an additional certification, will follow a specialized program track. UMFK offers an Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program and a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
