SED 310: Teaching Exceptional Students in the Regular Classroom

3 credits

Designed to provide the Special Education teacher an update on the Current Best Practices in the field of education as it relates to including all children into the mainstream of our Education programs. Students will review all classifications of student disabilities with a goal of identifying the appropriate methods, materials, adaptations, and modifications necessary to facilitate the integration of all students with disabilities into the mainstream of the regular education instructional program. It also provides these educators with the legal and ethical bases for providing services to children with disabilities, along with instructional and organizational methods to help these children succeed in their schools.
