SOC 311: Society Gender & Culture3 credits
Examines the social components of gender assignment and identity in contemporary and historical societies. The course will consider the nature of masculine and feminine; gender neutrality; gender choice, change, and ambiguity; gender stratification; power, economics, and the politics of gender. Prerequisite(s): SOC 100 or sophomore standing.
