SOC 360: Families & Households3 credits
Explores the functions, social relationships, and advantages of the human family as a cross-cultural social institution. The course will consider marriage forms and the possibilities of marriage dissolution; family forms; kinship and inheritance; patterns of authority and power, and child rearing. Offered every third Spring (2017, 2020).
Prerequisite(s): ANT 100 or SOC 100 , or sophomore standing.
